No flat tracks, no party for SRH as Mumbai Indians claim 3rd win of IPL 2025 to stay alive

As the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) unfolds, two teams stand out with remarkable consistency in their performances, but unfortunately, in an undesirable manner. These teams are none other than Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), who have been stuck in the same positions on the points table since the start of the tournament. Despite their best efforts and star-studded squads, these two teams have been unable to move up the table, with MI in 7th place and SRH in 9th. With the halfway mark of the tournament now passed, it seems highly unlikely that either of these teams will make any significant movement on the points table in the rest of the tournament.

The recent match between MI and SRH perfectly captured the story of their struggles in the IPL 2025. With the match being played on a pitch that offered no help to the batsmen, it was always going to be a difficult task for the batsmen to score runs. However, this challenge did not faze the MI batsmen as they showed determination and skill in their approach. While the SRH batsmen faltered under pressure, the MI batsmen played with confidence and were able to score a respectable total of 150 runs. This total proved to be too much for SRH as they lost the match by a significant margin of 33 runs.

One of the main reasons for the success of MI in this match was their ability to adapt to the difficult pitch conditions. Unlike previous editions of the IPL where flat tracks were a common sight, the 2025 edition has witnessed a significant change in pitch conditions. The curators have purposely prepared pitches that offer assistance to the bowlers, making it a challenge for the batsmen to score runs. This change in pitch conditions has proven to be a major advantage for teams like MI, who have a strong bowling line-up and can capitalize on the difficult conditions.

On the other hand, SRH has been hit hard by these changes in pitch conditions. Known for their strong batting line-up, SRH has always relied on flat tracks to score big runs and dominate the opposition. However, with no flat tracks on offer, SRH has struggled to adapt and have suffered as a result. In the match against MI, their batsmen looked completely out of sorts, struggling to score runs and ultimately failing to chase the target.

It is evident that SRH’s success in the previous editions of the IPL was heavily dependent on flat tracks. With these conditions no longer available, the team has failed to adjust their game plan and have paid the price for it. This not only reflects their lack of adaptability but also highlights the importance of playing and performing on different types of pitches.

Although SRH’s performance has been disappointing in the IPL 2025, the team cannot be written off just yet. With a squad filled with talented players like David Warner, Kane Williamson, and Rashid Khan, SRH has the potential to turn their fortunes around. It will be crucial for the team to identify their weaknesses and come up with a new game plan to succeed on pitches that offer assistance to the bowlers. With a change in approach and a strong team spirit, SRH can still make a mark in the remainder of the tournament.

Meanwhile, MI has once again proved why they are the most successful team in the history of the IPL. Despite their slow start to the tournament, the team has shown resilience and determination to bounce back and win crucial matches. This win against SRH was their 3rd win of the tournament, which has kept their hopes of making it to the playoffs alive. With a strong squad, experienced players, and a successful history, MI has all the ingredients to turn things around in the remaining matches of the tournament.

As the IPL 2025 approaches its second half, it is highly likely that both MI and SRH will remain in the same positions on the points table. However, this is not a reflection of their abilities as both teams have shown glimpses of their potential in different matches. It is now up to the teams to come back stronger and make the necessary adjustments to their game plan to achieve success in the remainder of the tournament.

In conclusion, while it may be disappointing to see MI and SRH stuck in the same positions on the points table, their performances have been a reflection of the changing pitch conditions and their ability to adapt to it. As for the fans,
