The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the most popular and highly anticipated cricket tournaments in the world. Every year, millions of fans eagerly await the start of the IPL season, as it brings together some of the best cricketing talents from around the globe. With each passing year, the IPL has only grown bigger and better, and the 2025 edition promises to be no different.

As the 2025 IPL season progresses, fans are constantly on the lookout for the latest updates and developments. One of the key aspects that fans are always interested in is the points table. The points table not only reflects the current standings of all the teams but also gives an insight into their performance and chances of making it to the playoffs. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the latest IPL 2025 points table and see how all 10 teams rank after the recent matches and results.

At the top of the table, we have the defending champions Mumbai Indians, who have been in top form this season. Led by the dynamic Rohit Sharma, they have won six out of their eight matches and are sitting comfortably at the top with 12 points. Their strong batting line-up, consisting of players like Quinton de Kock, Suryakumar Yadav, and Kieron Pollard, has been firing on all cylinders, while their bowling attack, led by Jasprit Bumrah, has been equally impressive. It comes as no surprise that they are once again the team to beat in this year’s IPL.

In second place, we have the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who have been the surprise package of this season. Led by the charismatic Virat Kohli, they have won five out of their seven matches and have 10 points to their name. After years of underwhelming performances, RCB seems to have finally found the right balance in their team, with the likes of AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammed Siraj stepping up and delivering match-winning performances. They will be looking to continue their good run and make it to the playoffs for the first time since 2021.

Sitting at third place, we have the Delhi Capitals, who have been consistent performers in the IPL over the years. Led by the young and talented Rishabh Pant, they have won five out of their eight matches and have 10 points to their name. With a strong batting line-up consisting of Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, and Steve Smith, and a well-balanced bowling attack led by Kagiso Rabada and Ravichandran Ashwin, the Capitals have all the ingredients to go all the way this year.

In fourth place, we have the Chennai Super Kings, who have been one of the most successful teams in the history of the IPL. Led by the evergreen MS Dhoni, they have won four out of their seven matches and have eight points to their name. After a disappointing season last year, CSK has bounced back strongly and is looking like a formidable force once again. With the likes of Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali, and Deepak Chahar in their ranks, they will be aiming to make it to the playoffs and add another IPL title to their name.

At fifth place, we have the Kolkata Knight Riders, who have had a mixed season so far. Led by the experienced Eoin Morgan, they have won four out of their eight matches and have eight points to their name. With a strong batting line-up consisting of Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, and Andre Russell, and a well-balanced bowling attack led by Pat Cummins and Varun Chakravarthy, KKR has the potential to turn things around and make it to the playoffs.

In sixth place, we have the Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have had a disappointing season so far. Led by the ever-reliable Kane Williamson, they have won three out of their eight matches and have six points to their name. Despite having a strong batting line-up consisting of David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, and Manish Pandey, SRH has struggled to find consistency and will need to step up their game if they want to make it to the playoffs.

At seventh place, we have the Rajasthan Royals, who have had a forgettable season so far. Led by Sanju Samson, they have won two out of their eight matches and have four points
