Boxing Schedule (September 2025): Canelo vs. Crawford, Inoue vs. Akhmadaliev, and More

With only two more days left in August, the end of summer is quickly approaching. This means that there are only four months left before we welcome yet another new year filled with endless possibilities and opportunities. However, as we look forward to the future, it’s also important to take a moment and appreciate the present – especially in the world of sports.

After eight months of intense competition, the boxing world is gearing up for a season of winding down. But don’t let that fool you, because the upcoming schedule is packed with highly anticipated fights that are sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats.

One of the most highly anticipated fights of the year is set to take place on September 18th – Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford. Both fighters have been dominating their respective weight classes and have established themselves as top pound-for-pound fighters in the world. This fight has been a long time coming, and fans are eager to see these two elite boxers go head-to-head in the ring.

But that’s not all – the month of September is filled with other exciting matchups as well. On September 25th, we’ll see Naoya Inoue defend his WBA and IBF bantamweight titles against Murodjon Akhmadaliev. Inoue, also known as “The Monster,” has been on a tear in the bantamweight division and has quickly become a fan favorite. Akhmadaliev, on the other hand, is a rising star and will be looking to make a name for himself by dethroning Inoue.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. On September 11th, we’ll see a highly anticipated rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk for the WBA, IBF, and WBO heavyweight titles. Their first fight was a close one, with Usyk edging out a unanimous decision victory. Now, Joshua will be looking for redemption and to reclaim his titles.

In addition to these marquee matchups, there are several other exciting fights scheduled for September. On September 4th, we’ll see the return of Gervonta Davis as he takes on Rolando Romero for the WBA lightweight title. And on September 10th, we’ll see the highly anticipated rematch between Shawn Porter and Yordenis Ugas for the WBC welterweight title.

As we can see, September is shaping up to be an action-packed month for boxing fans. But it’s not just about the big names and titles – it’s also about the undercard fights that often steal the show. With up-and-coming prospects and rising stars, there’s no telling who will make a name for themselves in the ring.

It’s also worth noting that these fights will be taking place in front of live audiences, which is a significant step forward for the sport. After months of fighting in empty arenas due to the pandemic, it’s refreshing to see fans back in the stands, cheering on their favorite fighters.

So as we bid farewell to summer and welcome the fall season, let’s not forget about the exciting world of boxing. These upcoming fights are sure to provide us with plenty of entertainment and excitement. And as we look forward to the new year, let’s also take a moment to appreciate the present and all that the sport of boxing has to offer.
