“Saturday Night Live” (SNL) has been a staple of American television for over four decades and continues to keep us entertained with its hilarious sketches and top-notch musical performances. With a new season just around the corner, the anticipation for the upcoming lineup of hosts and musical guests is at an all-time high. And now, we have even more reason to be excited as the first round of announcements has been made.

The first episode of SNL’s 47th season is set to air on October 2nd and will be hosted by none other than actors Miles Teller and Glen Powell. Both Teller and Powell are known for their incredible talent and range as actors, making them the perfect duo to kick off the new season. Teller’s notable roles include “Whiplash” and “The Spectacular Now,” while Powell has stolen our hearts with his charming performance in “Everybody Wants Some!!” and “Top Gun: Maverick.”

But that’s not all – comedian Nikki Glaser will also join Teller and Powell as a host on the SNL stage. As a stand-up comedian, television host, and actress, Glaser has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the comedy scene. She has her own Netflix special, “Bangin’,” and has appeared in hit shows like “Inside Amy Schumer” and “F Is for Family.” With her quick wit and infectious energy, Glaser is sure to bring the laughs to SNL.

But the hosting trio is not the only reason to get excited about the new season of SNL. The show has also announced its musical guests for the first three episodes. The first episode will feature rising British artist Olivia Dean, who has been making waves with her soulful vocals and poignant lyrics. Dean’s debut EP, “What Am I Gonna Do on Sundays?”, has received critical acclaim, and her performance on SNL is sure to be an unforgettable one.

Next up, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile will take the stage. Carlile has captivated audiences with her powerful vocals and heartfelt songs, earning her numerous accolades and a devoted fan base. With hits like “The Joke” and “The Story,” Carlile’s performance on SNL is bound to be a highlight of the season.

And finally, SNL has announced that Sombr will be the musical guest for the third episode. Sombr, also known as Nandi Bushell, is a 11-year-old musical prodigy who has gained international recognition for her impressive drumming skills. She has already caught the attention of rock legends like Dave Grohl and Lenny Kravitz, and her SNL performance will undoubtedly showcase her incredible talent.

With such a talented lineup of hosts and musical guests, the new season of SNL is shaping up to be one of the best yet. Fans can expect plenty of laughs, unforgettable performances, and maybe even a few surprise guests. So mark your calendars and get ready to tune in to SNL on October 2nd for what promises to be a sensational season premiere.
