In a recent tweet, Trump claimed that National Guard members had engaged in hand-to-hand combat with child gang members on the streets of Washington, D.C. However, this claim has been widely disputed, even by the military.
Trump’s tweet, which has since been removed, stated, “Our great National Guard Troops who took care of the area around the White House could hardly believe how easy it was. ‘A walk in the park,’ one said.
