“Fat as Hell”: Saints’ Cameron Jordan Doesn’t Hold Back to Ridicule Trent Williams, Tristan Wirfs

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan is known for his fierce play on the field, but off the field, he is just as entertaining. In his latest episode of the Off the Edge podcast, Jordan didn’t hold back in delivering some playful trash talk directed at two of the NFL’s most respected offensive tackles: Trent Williams and Tristan Wirfs.

Jordan, who is known for his quick wit and sense of humor, wasted no time in poking fun at Williams and Wirfs. He started off by jokingly calling them “fat as hell,” a playful jab at their size as offensive linemen. But Jordan didn’t stop there, he went on to say, “I mean, they’re not just big, they’re like, ‘Oh my God, how do you even move?'”

While some may see this as disrespectful or mean-spirited, it’s important to note that Jordan’s comments were all in good fun. He has a close relationship with both Williams and Wirfs, and their playful banter is a testament to the camaraderie and mutual respect among players in the NFL.

Jordan continued to roast the two offensive tackles, saying, “I mean, Trent Williams, he’s like 350 [pounds] and he’s just a big ball of muscle. And then you got Tristan Wirfs, who’s like 6’7″ and 320 [pounds]. I mean, how do you even block that?”

It’s clear that Jordan has a lot of admiration for Williams and Wirfs, but he couldn’t resist taking a few playful jabs at their size. After all, it’s not every day that you see two offensive tackles who are as physically imposing as Williams and Wirfs.

But Jordan’s comments weren’t just limited to their size. He also praised their skills on the field, saying, “They’re both incredible players. I mean, Trent Williams is a seven-time Pro Bowler and Tristan Wirfs is a rising star in the league. They’re both so talented and it’s always a challenge going up against them.”

It’s true that both Williams and Wirfs are highly respected in the NFL. Williams, who currently plays for the San Francisco 49ers, is widely considered one of the best offensive tackles in the league. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl seven times and has been named First-Team All-Pro twice.

Wirfs, on the other hand, is just getting started in his NFL career. The 22-year-old was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft and has quickly made a name for himself as one of the top offensive tackles in the league. He was named to the Pro Bowl and was a key part of the Buccaneers’ Super Bowl-winning team in his rookie season.

Despite their impressive resumes, Jordan didn’t hesitate to poke fun at Williams and Wirfs. But it’s all in good fun and a testament to the camaraderie and friendly competition among players in the NFL.

In fact, Jordan and Williams have a long-standing friendship that goes back to their college days at the University of California, Berkeley. They have faced each other on the field numerous times and have always had a mutual respect for each other’s skills.

As for Wirfs, he may be a newcomer to the league, but he has already earned the respect of his peers, including Jordan. The two faced off against each other in the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs last season, and Jordan came away impressed with Wirfs’ performance.

In the end, Jordan’s playful trash talk is just another example of the fun and competitive nature of the NFL. While some may see it as disrespectful, it’s important to remember that these players are all friends and colleagues who have a deep respect for each other’s talents.

So let’s take Jordan’s comments for what they are – a lighthearted and entertaining moment in the world of professional football. And who knows, maybe Williams and Wirfs will have a few witty comebacks of their own in the future. After all, it’s all part of the game.
