Tom Blyth, known for his role in the hit show ‘Peaky Blinders’, is back in the spotlight with his new film ‘Wasteman’ hitting cinemas today (February 20). The British actor, who has been gaining recognition for his versatile acting skills, is also making headlines for his potential role as the next James Bond. However, in a recent interview, Blyth played down his chances of landing the iconic role, stating that he doesn’t see it happening but it would be lovely if it did.

With the speculation around the next James Bond actor reaching its peak, Blyth’s name has been thrown into the mix as a strong contender. As a rising star in the industry, it’s not surprising that fans and critics alike have been considering him for the role. However, the modest actor seems to have a different perspective on the matter.

In an interview with NME, Blyth shared his thoughts on the casting rumors and his chances of becoming the next 007. He stated, “I don’t see it happening, but it would be lovely if it did.” Blyth went on to explain that he is grateful for the recognition and support, but he doesn’t want to get his hopes up. He also added, “It’s such an iconic role, and there are so many talented actors out there who would do an amazing job. I’m just happy to be considered.”

Blyth’s humility and grounded nature are truly admirable, especially in an industry where ego and self-promotion often overshadow talent. Despite being a top choice for the role, he remains humble and focused on his craft. This is a testament to his dedication and passion for acting.

While Blyth may not see himself as the next James Bond, fans and critics certainly do. His impressive acting skills, suave looks and British charm make him a perfect fit for the role. In ‘Peaky Blinders’, Blyth has already shown us that he can take on complex and challenging characters with ease. This, along with his training in stage combat and his love for adrenaline-pumping activities, makes him a strong contender for the action-packed role of James Bond.

But even if he doesn’t end up donning the iconic tuxedo, Blyth’s career is definitely on the rise. With his role in ‘Wasteman’, he continues to prove his versatility as an actor. The film, which has been receiving positive reviews, showcases Blyth’s range as he takes on a completely different character from his previous roles. This is a testament to his dedication to his craft and his ability to bring depth and authenticity to every character he plays.

Blyth’s talent and potential have not gone unnoticed by his co-stars and directors. In fact, his ‘Peaky Blinders’ co-star Cillian Murphy has praised him as a “brilliant actor” and director Anthony Byrne has described him as “fearless and committed”. These glowing reviews only go to show that Blyth is a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

As Blyth’s star continues to rise, we can’t help but root for him to land the role of James Bond. However, whether he becomes the next 007 or not, one thing is for sure – he is a rising star in the industry and we can expect to see much more of him in the future.

In the meantime, let’s all head to the cinemas to catch Blyth’s latest film ‘Wasteman’ and witness his talent on the big screen. With his impressive acting skills and down-to-earth nature, he is definitely an actor to watch out for. Who knows, maybe this could be the start of an amazing career that leads him to the iconic role of James Bond. But for now, let’s just enjoy Blyth’s incredible performance in ‘Wasteman’ and support him in his journey to the top.
