Shoaib Akhtar, the former Pakistani cricketer, has always been known for his fiery pace and aggressive style of play. However, in a recent turn of events, he has shown a softer and more mature side of himself. After witnessing Afghanistan’s stunning victory over England in the Champions Trophy, Akhtar was in awe of the team’s performance and wished them luck to win the title.

In a recent interview, Akhtar expressed his admiration for the Afghan team and their progress in the world of cricket. He stated, “I have always been a fan of Afghanistan’s cricket team. They have come a long way and have shown tremendous improvement in their game. It was a delight to watch them beat England, one of the top teams in the world, with such ease and confidence.”

Akhtar also praised the team’s captain, Gulbadin Naib, for his leadership skills and the way he has guided his team to victory. He said, “Naib has done a fantastic job as a captain. He has led his team with great determination and has instilled a sense of belief in them. The way he marshaled his troops against England was commendable.”

The former cricketer also highlighted the importance of Afghanistan’s victory for the growth of cricket in the country. He said, “Afghanistan is a country that has faced many challenges, but their love for cricket has never wavered. This victory will not only boost their confidence but also inspire the younger generation to take up the sport and excel in it.”

Akhtar, who is known for his fierce rivalry with India, also had a message for the Afghan team ahead of their match against India. He said, “I have always been vocal about my support for Pakistan, but this time, I will be rooting for Afghanistan. I want them to go all out and not spare England or Australia. They have the potential to beat any team, and I hope they make the most of this opportunity.”

The former cricketer also urged the International Cricket Council (ICC) to support and promote the growth of cricket in Afghanistan. He said, “The ICC should take note of Afghanistan’s performance and provide them with all the necessary resources to develop their cricket infrastructure. This will not only benefit the Afghan team but also the sport as a whole.”

Akhtar’s words of encouragement and support have surely boosted the morale of the Afghan team, who are now considered the underdogs in the Champions Trophy. Their victory against England has proved that they are a force to be reckoned with and should not be underestimated.

In conclusion, Shoaib Akhtar’s admiration for the Afghan team is a testament to their hard work and determination. Their journey from being a war-torn country to a rising cricketing nation is truly inspiring. As they continue their journey in the Champions Trophy, let us all join hands in wishing them luck and hope that they emerge victorious. After all, as Akhtar rightly said, “Don’t spare England, Australia, or any other team. Afghanistan, go for the title!”
