Welcome to our special segment, DRS or the Daily Review System. In this, InsideSport will provide you with the top cricket stories from the previous day that you might have missed in the hustle and bustle of your busy life. With so many matches and events happening in the world of cricket, it can be tough to keep up with all the latest news. That’s where DRS comes in, to keep you updated and informed about all the important happenings in the world of cricket.

In the latest edition of DRS, we bring you some interesting and exciting stories from the world of cricket that will surely catch your attention.

First on the list is the news about fixing allegations on Indian cricketer Ishan Kishan. The young wicket-keeper batsman, who has been making headlines with his impressive performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has been accused of being involved in a fixing scandal. According to a media report, Kishan, who plays for Mumbai Indians, was approached by a bookie during a match against Delhi Capitals. However, the 22-year-old has denied the allegations and has stated that he has always played the sport with utmost integrity and honesty. The BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) is currently investigating the matter and we hope that the truth will prevail.

Moving on to some record-breaking performances, we cannot overlook the impressive partnership between Mumbai Indians’ captain Rohit Sharma and pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah. The duo created history by becoming the most successful captain-pace bowler combination in the IPL, surpassing the previous record of MS Dhoni and Albie Morkel. Sharma and Bumrah have been instrumental in Mumbai Indians’ success in the IPL and their consistent performances have proven to be a winning formula for the team. We congratulate them on this achievement and wish them continued success in the future.

But it’s not just the present that is making headlines, there are also some interesting rumours about the future of Indian batsman Sanju Samson. The 26-year-old, who is currently playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, has been in fine form with the bat but there are reports suggesting that he might be out of the league in 2025. This news has taken many by surprise, as Samson has been one of the most consistent and promising players in the IPL. We hope this is just a baseless rumour and that we will see Samson in action for many years to come.

In other news, the Indian women’s cricket team is set to play their first Test match in nearly seven years. The last time India played a Test match was in 2014 against South Africa. This time, they will take on England in a one-off Test match starting from June 16. This is a great opportunity for the Indian women’s team to showcase their skills and prove their worth in the longest format of the game. We wish the team all the best and hope they come out victorious.

Last but not least, we have some exciting news for all the cricket fans. The much-awaited T20 World Cup, which was scheduled to take place in India later this year, might be shifted to the UAE due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the country. This news has disappointed many cricket enthusiasts who were looking forward to watching the tournament in India. However, the BCCI is yet to make an official announcement and we hope that the situation improves in India so that the tournament can be held in the country as planned.

And that’s a wrap for DRS today. We hope you enjoyed reading about all the latest happenings in the world of cricket. Stay tuned for more updates and keep supporting the sport. Till then, keep cheering for your favourite teams and players. This is InsideSport, keeping you updated, informed, and entertained. See you soon!
