The WNBA has always been known as one of the smallest professional leagues in the country. With just 156 total roster spots across 13 teams, it’s no surprise that competition for these coveted spots is fierce. However, with the addition of a 13th team this year, the league is expanding and bringing new opportunities for players to showcase their skills. As we look ahead to the 2025 WNBA season, let’s take a closer look at each team’s final lineup after roster cuts.

First up, we have the Atlanta Dream. With a strong core of players including Tiffany Hayes, Elizabeth Williams, and Courtney Williams, the Dream have a solid foundation to build upon. They will also have the advantage of having the first overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, giving them the opportunity to add even more talent to their roster. Look for the Dream to be a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming season.

Next, we have the Chicago Sky. Led by superstar Candace Parker, the Sky have a talented roster that includes All-Star guards Allie Quigley and Courtney Vandersloot. With the addition of veteran center Sylvia Fowles, the Sky have a well-rounded lineup that will be a tough matchup for any team. Expect them to make a deep playoff run in 2025.

The Connecticut Sun have been a consistent playoff team in recent years, and that trend is likely to continue in 2025. Led by Jonquel Jones and DeWanna Bonner, the Sun have a strong frontcourt that will be tough to stop. They also have a solid backcourt with Jasmine Thomas and Briann January. With a deep bench and a strong coaching staff, the Sun will be a team to watch out for in the upcoming season.

The Dallas Wings have a young and talented roster that is full of potential. With players like Arike Ogunbowale, Satou Sabally, and Marina Mabrey, the Wings have a bright future ahead. They also have the fourth overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, giving them the opportunity to add even more talent to their roster. The Wings may not be a playoff team in 2025, but they are definitely a team on the rise.

The Indiana Fever have struggled in recent years, but they have a talented young core that is starting to come into its own. Led by Kelsey Mitchell and Teaira McCowan, the Fever have a solid foundation to build upon. They also have the second overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, giving them the opportunity to add another impact player to their roster. The Fever may not be a playoff team in 2025, but they are definitely a team to keep an eye on.

The Las Vegas Aces have been one of the top teams in the WNBA in recent years, and that trend is likely to continue in 2025. Led by reigning MVP A’ja Wilson, the Aces have a talented roster that also includes All-Stars Liz Cambage and Chelsea Gray. With a deep bench and a strong coaching staff, the Aces will be a tough team to beat in the upcoming season.

The Los Angeles Sparks have been a perennial playoff team, and that is not likely to change in 2025. Led by Nneka Ogwumike and Chiney Ogwumike, the Sparks have a talented frontcourt that will be tough to stop. They also have a strong backcourt with Kristi Toliver and Erica Wheeler. With a deep bench and a veteran coaching staff, the Sparks will be a team to watch out for in the upcoming season.

The Minnesota Lynx have been one of the most successful teams in WNBA history, and that trend is likely to continue in 2025. Led by Sylvia Fowles and Napheesa Collier, the Lynx have a talented roster that also includes All-Star guard Crystal Dangerfield. They also have the third overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, giving them the opportunity to add even more talent to their roster. The Lynx will be a top contender for the championship in 2025.

The New York Liberty have a young and talented roster that is full of potential. Led by Sabrina Ionescu and Betnijah Laney, the Liberty have a strong backcourt that will be tough to stop. They also have the first overall pick in the 2025 WN
